So far, nothing has happened to make for a good HA post. Though last night there was lots of laughter that filled my brothers house.
My sister Deb and her husband Bill came in yesterday. It was so good to see them. My brother and I picked them up in Pittsburgh around 2:30. We made our way home the "long" way and made a brief stop in Columbiana so that they could see the new theater. We then came back to Salem and our entire family met at the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe for dinner. We took up almost half the place! Imagine four grown kids, their spouses, and kids, as well as both of my parents and my dad's best friend Larry. It was crazy but wonderful. My dad took the bill for our entire family including my mom which I thought was extremely generous!
After our dinner most of us ended up back at my brothers. We shared pictures, drank coffee, ate cake, and played a few hands of Euchre. We were all in tears. We have a running joke in our family when we play Euchre. God bless my dear mother, she can never remember what is trump in the game (you have to understand Euchre to know that is). Every hand my mom asks with such confussion "What's trump?". Well, last night we were all acting like my mom. None of us could keep straight what was trump. We could not keep straight what was going on because the laughter overtook everything. We have now coined this as DD...Diane Disorder. We were all suffering from DD last night.
Today I am going to be meeting my sister and brother-in-law and aunt and uncle for lunch somewhere in Columbiana. I will then be picking my hubby up to head back to Columbiana for the parade and fair. I am so excited and I am so glad to have this time with my family. Family is so very precious. I believe that as time goes on my siblings are seeing that for themselves and are allowing the things that have held them down fall off of themselves. I have seen it taking place on both sides of my family and I am so very, very greatful.
I promise to have so pics and more HA moments! Check back soon!
