Summer Days

I had a great day today! I actually feel as though I accomplished quite a bit. It never fails though, I have woke up every morning this week before Camden and hoped to do a few things before he awoke. Well, I was not so fortunate and today was no exception. I was up and tip toed around and he was up a mere 20 minutes after my waking. I was greeted by a chipper "Good morning Mommy!". After a few cartoons and breakfast I decided that I should try and see if I could reassemble Camden's crib so that when we move I could put it back together without having to figure it out then. He has the type of crib that converts to a headboard for a full size bed and I had done so last summer since he's been sleeping in the big boy bed since. Any way, it was such a pain! It took me 3 hours! 3 hours to put that thing back together!! I remember when Mike put it together for the first time and I thought it was funny that it took him a whole evening to put it completely together. HA! It took me those 3 hours just to convert it back to a crib from the headboard. Needless to say, the crib is still together and is now in my living room until we move. I am not taking that thing apart again. No way!!
Just as my little project was done, I put Camden down for a nap and decided to take a little rest myself. About 15 minutes into my nap the power went out. Nice day for it to seeing as it was 90 something today and I had the air on. About 10 minutes later Camden woke up, hot and cranky. By the time Daddy came home 2 hours later we left for cooler air and something yummy to eat. We headed to the mall and had yummy steak sandwiches. We then headed to the highlight of our night. We took Camden to see the much anticipated Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown. It was actually really funny. Mike and I both found ourselves laughing out loud. Very cute! Camden loved it, of course! He really liked the little squirrel. We then made a quick stop at the store for a few things and now we are resting comfortably at home. The funny thing? My son is laying in his old crib, falling asleep. Mike and I are watching TV and Camden climbed into the crib. We gave him permission earlier and explained that it's baby sister's bed but he may sit in it. Well, he doesn't want to come out. So, I went and got his blanket and pillow and he is just about out. We will move him once we head to bed. It's so amazing seeing him in there now. He looks even more like a big boy!
Well, I am going to top off my lovely evening with a bowl of ice cream. I hope to have many more lovely summer day/nights such as this. And I hope that ya'll have a wonderful summer as well. Night.
