Texas Hold 'Em, Babies, and Weddings

Well, once again I have been busy doing nothing. It seems like time just flies by and I couldn't tell you what we've been busy doing, but nonetheless we've been busy.

We've been working on getting our basement put together for the kids play room. Our basement is a nice dry basement. We were blessed with some really nice carpet that we were able to put down there. We were also given a leather couch that is new than the one we already have. So we placed the older one in the basement along with another older couch we have. Our living is now all set up with NO toys! I love my kids, but I hate the clutter of toys that seem to follow them. So now everything is downstairs. I am working on trying to get a little more lighting down there but for now it is fine. This is a huge task that I am happy to have finished. There are some things that will most likely change at some point, but for them most part I am just happy that the kids and I have a place to go where we can be with all the toys in one place.

It sure seems like there is something in the water or something around here because everyone is having babies. My friend that I did the belly pictures for just had her little girl. Emma Jean. She's a cutie. I also think that our new neighbors had their baby. She was due this week and I haven't spoken to her in a few days. I just get that feeling. There are also at least 4 other moms I know that just had their babies. It's just all over!

I've been really frustrated because that wedding that I did a few weeks ago, well they still have not gotten back to me about seeing their proofs and paying me their balance. It's really hard to deal with people you know because I don't want to come across as being rude, but I need that money before they get any prints. Their deposit paid for the expenses for the day and their albums, but no prints. The bride actually asked me if they still owed me and how much I was charging (even though we went over the twice before the wedding). In the future I am going to have be more selective in who I do photos for when it comes to those I know. There are some that I would not even give a second thought to because I know them well enough, but it's just too hard to predict when something like this will happen.

We had a really nice visit with some great people the other night. *smiles*

Mike and I learned how to play Texas Hold 'Em and loved playing. We've agreed that

we need to get some poker chips now and to get together with them more often.

Well, everyone here (somehow) has fallen asleep and maybe I should take advantage of the quite and read some of my book. I think we may be taking a trip to the park later. Have a great week everyone.
