Well, hello everyone, we are finally home! It has been one crazy week let me tell you! We have been so busy since we came home. As Adrienne did, I'm going to have to break down our week into a few post.
I'll start with the wedding Saturday, June 30th. It was such a beautiful wedding that took place at the Crosley Museum in Sarasota, Florida. Though the mansion is located on the bay and there was a nice breeze, it was terribly hot. The wedding was not until the evening, but even the evenings are hot in Florida. Fortunately it was not a very long ceremony. We then enjoyed a great dinner and the best cake I've ever had. My sister Deb's best friend Fran catered the wedding and made the cake. It was awesome! I stayed and partied for as long as my little girl would let me and then I headed back to my sisters with my parents. It was such a great night and I will never forget how happy Matt looked.
The strangest part of the whole night had to be riding back to Venice (about a 45 minute drive) with my parents. It was a strange feeling to be sitting in the backseat of a Caddy (which my dad rented for the weekend) with my divorced parents in the front talking away like there was nothing between them. I had to laugh to myself at the irony. By the end of the trip though, I was ready to be away from them both. Each for different reasons. I do not think I could live under the same roof with them again. There is defiantly a reason we grow up and move out!
