Last night I had to go to New Middletown to get fitted for my dress for my friends wedding on July 12th. It is coming up so fast and I needed to get another fitting in. My dress was HUGE! We went by my measurements and ordered the size accordingly. When my dress came, I tried it on and could fit two of me in it. But to send it back and have the right size shipped to us was going to cost half the price of the dress (shipping and restocking fees). Seriously! So, it was better for us to just have it altered. My friends aunt is doing all the alterations for us girls who are in the wedding and I feel so bad that my dress is going to be the hardest. "Aunt" Clarie is wonderful and she is just taking it in stride but she has her work cut out for her. She will still need to do the hem after all of the alterations are done on top. So after the shower in a few weeks I have to go back for one last fitting. It's all worth it. I've been looking forward to this wedding for the last year and a half. Missy and I have been friends for a very long time and it is such an honor to be apart of her special day. I can't wait!
About an hour before I started to get ready to leave last night my brother called. He wanted to know what my plans were for the night and I told him about my fitting. He informed me that he and my sister where heading to Boardman to pick out her new laptop and they wanted me to go with them. They were going to come pick me up so we could all go together but since I was already going to be out, sort of in that direction, I told him I could just meet them. I guess they wanted to go for coffee afterward. (You seriously can not imagine what a HUGE deal it is for me to go out with my brother and sister, for no particular, just to be together and hang out. Baffles me still!) So, Ed called me just as I was leaving "Aunt" Clarie's. He said they had already blown through Circuit City and wanted to know if I'd just meet them at Panera Bread in Boardman. So, we all got there at the same time and decided to eat since none of us had already. My brother, the dork that he is, insisted on paying for us girls to have dinner with him. I say he's a dork, just because he is. He would not back down on Cheryl or I. He insisted and was not going to take "NO" for an answer. So I got to enjoy a great sandwich and yummy soup and not to mention a nice frozen mocha! But the best part? Being able to enjoy a great meal with my siblings, just the three of us. We talk and laughed a ton! An hour and a half later we parted ways. They headed back to Salem to play with Cheryl's new "toy" and I headed back home to see the end of American Idol.

DUDE! OK, so Tuesday night's performances hands down went to David Archuletta. I have been a fan of David Cook's for quite some time, but I had to give it to the little David. He came pulling no punches and he performed like a champ. David Cook was good, but I really thought his song choices hurt him. Though I think both are great vocalist, I believe that David C. is a better performer. He had some really amazing performances this season. So, last night I thought for sure that Cookie was gonna be the runner up. I was soo happy when he was "crowned" the new Idol. I've sort of had a problem with AI the past few years in that there have been several people who made it through to the top 24 who already had previous exposure to the music industry. When Idol started it was to give "kids" who wouldn't normally have the chance, the opportunity to show the world their talent. Now, people such as David Archuletta are making it through who have already been in spotlight. Archuletta was on Star Search and made it through several rounds. He has also sang with symphonies, at fairs, and other various competitions. Then there is David C. who was just a some bartender who came to AI to support his brother when he tried out and got talked into trying out himself. And now...he's the American Idol. I wanted Cook to win for that reason. Archie has already had exposure, big exposure and he is only 17. He has lots of time before him to "make it". I'm not upset that he made it into the competition, the kid has talent. I'm just so happy that Cook won.
One last note before heading off to make my kiddos lunch...I added a couple of new slideshows of photos of the kids over on their blog. One slideshow is of the photos I've posted here, but there are also photos of them on our friends farm watching the cows getting milked and even with the baby calf that was born earlier that day. Be sure to check it out if you get the chance. Cute stuff I tell ya!
Well, I best be going. Hungry monkeys to feed. Have a great day everyone! TTFN

I enjoy your posts. I'm kind of scared to visit now because of the stalker down there in the corner - but I think it'll be okay. ;)
I love the little toes picture of Merci - they are all beautiful pictures and cute kiddos!
How fun you got to go out with your brother and sister - I like when I get a chance to hang out with my brothers - because they are all quite a bit younger, we are just starting to get to a point where we interact like adults. Sometimes I feel like an old hag around them, but it's still nice!
It feels to me like doing 'anything' during the day is a full day when you have two small tikes in tow! A trip to the grocery takes up most of my day it seems like.
Anyway, I've been a comment slacker (and a blog slacker) and thought it was time I say hi!
I must be the only one in the world that thought David Cook outdid David A. Tuesday night LOL!! I voted to high heaven for him over and over again. David A had flat notes on his 2nd song and flubbed words..and he had missed words in some weeks before and WHY did n't the judges ever say something about it. They totally lean the votes...but maybe not....the antiDavidcook from Simon I think made more people vote for David Cook. GOSH, I am just soooo glad he won. I cried..I am such a dope. I CRIED! LOL! I am glad this was my first season of Idol..was neat that the person I had been voting for early on got the prize. I can't wait for a cd!!!!!!!!!!!! AGHH!! YEAH!!!! I really enjoyed the whole show last night, well most of it, not Jimmy Kimmel so much but that guy from that movie they were promoting was very funny. Loved brooke's song, and Michael Johns- they really got him featured out there on the stage several times and I thought that was superb! AND, I thought Kristy was sounding really nice, too. SOrry I took over and made practically another blog entry. I guess you could say I was excited for that Idol Ending.
