And so I was. Well, sort of. :)
I had the most pleseant evening last night.
There was much laughter and good conversation over so-so coffee.
(Though I would had never anticipated that I would be "trapped" into staying so long!)
But what can I say, when you are in good company
it makes being "trapped" not so bad. :0)
I received a phone call from a dear friend of mine yesterday afternoon inviting me to join her and another mutual friend of ours for dessert at Applebee's. After 5 very long days of fevers, throw up, and crankiness I was ready for some much needed adult interaction! I took her up on the offer and met up with them at 7:30. I had the pleasure of also getting to know a friend of theirs, Vanda, that joined us. We had some really good conversation and I enjoyed getting to know Vanda a little better. I believe it started around 9:30 when one of us said we should get going, but the conversion continued for over an hour with several more attempts to leave. We did not end up leaving Applebee's until after 11:00. I guess you could say we were enjoying ourselves!! We all thought that we were going to finally part ways when one of us (who shall remain nameless *wink*) had a dead battery and needed a jump. We got about half the job done when a lovely Boardman police officer came to our rescue. A very quick jump and we finally parted ways. I think I arrived home somewhere around 11:30! It really was a lovely evening and look forward to seeing these ladies again tonight! And I am also looking forward to reading The Kite Runner for the up coming book club!
My wonderful children are finally on the mend. Long story short, we ended up taking them to the ER on Monday night because both had high fevers of 104 and 103. We could not get the fevers down and both were unbearable! Camden has an ear infection in his right ear and a virus. Merci has a virus, both ears are infected, and has an upper respiratory infection. They are both on antibiotics and are doing so much better today! I look forward to taking them out this weekend. I promised them once they were all better I'd take them out for the day. They deserve it, they've been sick since Saturday!
Well, I must run. I have to get the kids down for a nap and try to get some housework done. Have a great day everyone! TTFN
