One of the many things I've been busy with...

We have been wanting to strip our bathroom down and give it a good fresh coat of paint ever since we moved in over a year ago. Though our bathroom is not all that big, it is nonetheless a large task to take on. While my sister has been in from Indiana, one night we were talking about it and she offered her expertise in helping. She has done some really amazing home remodeling projects in her time and knows her way around VERY well. SO...here is what we took on this week.

This is what our bathroom looked like when we moved in over a year ago. Lots of wallpaper and very country-ish. Just not really my style.

Well my sister and I started off by spraying the walls down and stripping the wallpaper. I wasn't sure how it would go, but it came off fairly easy. Whoever hung the wallpaper did a good job which made our job easier because they hung it the proper way. And we were glad to find just a painted wall underneith and not more layer of wallpaper.

This is what the walls looked like once we had all the wallpaper stripped and then painted a single layer of primer. Even with just the primer it made such a huge difference!

Here is the first coat of paint on the walls. Yes...it is orange. It's pumpkin like. I love, love, LOVE it!! It looks so awesome and I was excited to find the shower curtain that even has the blue of the tile in our shower! And the orange in the shower curtain is what we used to match the paint.


I just adore my bathroom. It is very much my style. And the best part...my hubby loves it! And it has sparked this interest in him to do more awesome things through out the house. The next room to redo is our son's room. We recently purchased new bedding for his bed and found matching wall clings that go with the theme he wanted. Mum's the word for now, but I will have pictures to post once we get it done! I'm so excited. This has been so much fun!

Well, I'm off to get things ready for the superbowl! I've got food in the crock-pot and snacks out already. I have a feeling it's gonna be a good game! So until next time my friends...TTFN
