Heartfelt Thank You

I can not begin to express my gratitude to those who have been praying for my family. This has been a very difficult week for both my brother and his family. I have already begun to see the work that God is doing in my family through this situation. Only through God's grace and mercy can we find the true meaning of life and we have seen that this week.

Quickly for those who do not know, my brother became very, very ill after a cut on his knee became quickly infected. The infection spread up his leg and continue to travel. After days of antibiotics and even surgery there was no sign that he was getting better. He actually became much worse. After only a few short days my brother was taken to ICU and was fighting for his life. We were unsure whether or not he was even going to make it through the night on Tuesday. Thank God, he was taken to Cleveland Clinic where the doctors continued treatment. The concern was the the infection had spread to his lungs. But in a matter of 24-48 hours God completely turned the situation around. What was looking to be a dire situation quickly became full of hope. As of yesterday, the doctors say his lungs are clear. This is nothing short of a miracle. How can one moment there be something in his lungs and the just hours later there be nothing?! God that's how!! Everyone is calling this a miracle. We could have lost him and God has begun a great healing on him. I am so happy to say that he will be coming home the Saturday (tomorrow), just four days after we didn't know whether he'd make it.

I also appreciate all of the prayers for my mom (who fell and broke her leg and shattered her hip while watching my brothers kids the night he was taken to ICU-YEAH, I know!). She is doing great. She had surgery on Wednesday and is being moved tomorrow (Saturday) to rehab in Salem where most of my family lives, included my brother! I find it so amazing that both will be back in there home town tomorrow. Though Mom will not be home (her home) she will be back on the same day my brother comes home. Thank You Jesus!! I just want to shout how good God is.

I have seen God move in peoples lives and I have heard stories, but let me say that there is something to be said about experiencing it first hand. To see such miraculous things take place can only bring joy and peace. That joy and peace replaces all those fears and worries we had. This spring I believe is a new beginning for my family, a much needed fresh start. Thank you God!!

And once again, thanks to all of you who knew and have been praying. Thank you just doesn't even to seem to be enough. Words truly can not express how my heart feels. My love to you all!!!
