Good News Galore!!!

I am feeling so well that I have to remind myself that I did just have a baby and it was only a week ago!! I have so much energy, even with very little sleep. Our routine is going so well that I feel like I've been doing this much longer than I have been. It amazes me how God gives a mother the ability to adapt in such situations. Though the nights have been a little tough, all in all, things are going wonderfully. Merci is taking to nursing so well. I give her all the credit for doing so. She has been struggling with a little gas issue at night, which has brought on the tough nights. Otherwise, she is doing great. We will have our one week check up with the Dr. on Friday.

I have been wanting to take many more pictures, but this is about the only one I have taken since being home. She is just so precious! I will be taking lots of pictures soon so keep checking back.

Speaking of pictures, I am so excited about some upcoming opportunities. My good friend, Missy, has an uncle who is a photographer. Actually, he is a well known photographer in our area. Her uncle is Paul Arbogast of Arbogast Photography in Columbiana. Well, she happened to mention to him, without my asking, that I have gotten into photography and am looking to deeper my knowledge of the field. She told him that I would like to kind of "shadow" a photographer for a day to get some tips. Well, Paul said he'd love to have me work with him for a day. I guess he actually said he would have loved my "help" last weekend because he had two homecomings and wedding all in the same weekend. WOW! He actually could have used my help? So any way, he said that whenever I was ready to just give him a call and he would gladly set up a time to meet with me and have me work a day with him. He also mentioned a group, I believe he said is called TRIANGLE, that has seminars several times a year that you can attend and it's only $130 a year to join. He said it is a cheap form of education for this field. I am soo excited. He knows that I have kids and recently gave birth. But after the first of the year I intend on calling him. This really could open up a huge door of opportunity for me.

I heard from my sister Deb this weekend and I am so excited because she is going to be coming home and staying with us. She will be here on October 18th and will be here until the 30th. I love when she comes home and I look forward to her staying with us. Her husband Bill will also be coming from the 18th to the 23rd. It will be a joy for us to have them in our home. I'm a little selfish too, because she will be here over my birthday. I have not shared my birthday with my sister Deb since she came home to surprise me at 18. 11 years is a long time and I hope she and I can do something special together.

Well, I should go get something done since Merci is sleeping and Camden is quite watching his Disney Channel shows. Check back soon for more pictures of Merci.
