At every turn I am seeing more and more of the holiday season. This gets me excited! In comparison to last year at this time, things are great and it makes me so excited for the holidays.
Unlike Kimmy, I have not actually started my Christmas shopping but I have gotten lists ready with my thoughts on what to buy. My main focus, of course, is Camden. It is going to be so much fun this year with him because he understands the gift giving more and has more of an excitement than in the past two years. I plan to keep all his presents in the basement wrapped and hidden. Then, on Christmas eve when he goes to bed pull them all out so he is surprised. My parents alway had just a few gifts under the tree on Christmas eve and we were aloud to pick just one to open. Then Christmas morning we came down to find lots of presents under the tree. I hope to make our own special traditions for our kids.
Other than preparing for the holidays, there hasn't been too much more going on. Mike is healing well. I see he has not posted yet. I keep holding out hope that he will start again. Tomorrow I hope to make it to church for second service. Now that Merci is 6 weeks old I feel more comfortable about taking her. Attending a church with such a large number of people in attendance has me a little leery of taking her before now. We are hoping to get Camden use to going to Sunday School as well. He is a big boy now and he should be in his own class. We'll see how he does.
I spoke to my dad today. He is going to be coming down tomorrow. He hasn't seen the kids in a few weeks due to recovering from shingles. He's doing much better and wants to come down with a few things he has for us. He going to fix our one basement light that went out and needed replacing. He is also gonna help me figure out the best way to get extra outlets in our basement to make it into our family area for the kids to play. We are fortunate to have a nice dry basement that we can convert into a play/family room. So that is what we are in the process of working on. It'll be nice to have Dad's input and help.
Well, my little princess is calling. I'll post more later. TTFN
