Things have been going great. My children are just amazing. Merci has slept the last two night almost all night. She's slept in about 4 hour stretches. It is great. I have this picture of them from last week when we took Camden trick-or-treating and to Trunk-or-Treat at the church. Merci went to visit Grammie and Grandpa, but she still had to dress up. She's mommy's little bunny!
My friend Sheree came home this past week and it was so great to see her. I have not had the chance to see her since right after Camden was born (she lives in North Carolina). We keep in contact through the phone and email and it was so nice to finally get to see her. Her reason for coming home was our high school class reunion. So, Saturday night we both got family to watch our little ones and headed to the reunion. I am glad I went simply to have the chance to spend time with Sheree but I must it was nothing worth going for otherwise. There were actually much less in attendance for our 10 year than our 5 year (this suprised me).
It was good to see some faces that I had not seen awhile. Most of those there were there for one reason and that was to drink. I spent much of the evening talking to Sheree and my friend Shawn's wife Lindsey. I went to school with Lindsey, who was a year ahead of us, but never really knew her. It was getting to know her a little better. It was cool too because we had seen them at the church for Trunk-or-Treat (Shawn is the Jr. High youth pastor at our church) and Shawn asked Mike to play flag football with him the same day as the reunion. But I'll have to tell more about that later. So back to the reunion. I have to admit that I talked more with the guys I knew in school more than I did the girls. Most of the girls had not changed and stayed within their own little groups. A lot of the guys, on the other
hand, had actually grown up and matured. One guy is now working on being a pilot, another just finished 9 years in the service, and another one is going to prestigous college working on furthering his career. One friend of mine just sold out business he was in partnership with. I think he was a little loopy from "meds" he claimed to be on for herniated disks in his back. All in all the evening was not a loss, interesting but not much more.As I mentioned Mike was asked to play flag football with Shawn Saturday morning. This was actually a good thing, I thought because Mike has been talking for the last year about playing football sometime. So it just so happened that he was off on Saturday. So he actually got up and was out playing football at 9:00 Saturday morning. He came home later that morning carring in an air cast with a smile on his face. All I could think of was "not again!". I need to backtrack just a bit and tell you the story inside this story. Three years ago, one week to the day after Camden was born, Mike came home from playing tennis hopping in on the arm of his uncle. He claimed he though he "sprained" his ankle. After much pursading on my part, he went to the hospital to find that it was broken. He was off for 9 weeks after that. So back to Saturday, all I could think of was that he broke it again. Come to find out it was his other ankle and he wasn't sure that it was broke, that is until he took of his shoe and sock. His foot looked all disfigured. I thought for sure it was broke. Again, a trip to the hospital was warrented. We were very fortunate to find it was not broken but he did tear the ligaments. He going tomorrow for a follow up to find out when he can return to work. I will leave the story to that since he claims he is actually going to blog and post the pictures I took. We'll see if he does.
Here are just a couple of pictures of the kids that I did today. You can check out more that I have posted over on their site. Merci is showing so much expression now and smiles all the time. The first couple of her are from last night when she was just full of joy and excitement. Enjoy.

Oh my my! She looks soooo adorable. I can't get over how she is changing and so pretty! She looks like a little princess.
Okay, so nobody told me Bo Brady was coming to the reunion, we so totally would have been there.
