A Merry Christmas Indeed

Well, as I promised I thought I would give you all a little peek into our Christmas this year. We could not have been more blessed. Having a wonderful family and two amazing children is enough for anyone to be happy. We are blessed.

I did not take any pictures of my gifts but I did receive quite a few great gifts. My husband put a lot of thought into my presents this year and it really did show. He bought me a Rachel Ray cookbook which I love and look forward to making some great dinners from it. He also purchased a nice tripod for me. This was probably my favorite. He has know for quite some time that I have been needing to get one. The three weddings I photographed this year I had to borrow one. So he actually did research prior to purchasing one and I am grateful for his thoughtfulness.
Christmas Eve we spent the afternoon at my in-law's having an amazing dinner as always. We then snacked on cookies and exchanged gifts. I think kids made out with the most! We then headed over to Auntie and Uncle Frank's where you can see we were all surprised the most to find a visit from the old man himself, Santa. We were all quite shocked to find Auntie and Uncle Frank had snuck out and came back all dressed up. It was great. I don't think I could have been more surprised. We then played some great games that Auntie did. One of which there was a brawl between us trying to get to the bottom of a package that had been wrapped numerous times. It was pretty funny and of course Uncle Frank caught it all on video. It was great to then come home and get a good nights sleep. We then woke up and I made cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast. We then spent the rest of the day at home. It was nice to spend the day relaxing with just us and our children. I enjoyed watching Camden play with his toys all day.

We were actually supposed to have company tonight for the new year but have postponed any festivities due to Mike not feeling well. We think it was the Pizza Hut pizza we had last night. It didn't seem to agree with either one of us, more so him than I.

Speaking of my hubby, just a quick update for those who do not know. My husband this past week underwent a sleep test at Northside Hospital for sleep apnea. The results came back negative and in such an event the Dr. also prescribed for him to have narcolepsy test to be done. Believe it or not it came back positive. So all the laughs and frustrations that have come over the past years at his expense (because of his inability to do anything without wanting to fall asleep) is now been explained. At first it was a little funny to think that he could even possibly have it, but the tests showed pretty strong results. So that is where that lies for now. We will know more once he goes back to his Dr. sometime over the next week or so. So please be praying that the Dr. handles this the best way possible and that is he able to get his energy back. We'd all appreciate it.

Well, my whole family is asleep downstairs. Mike is out on the couch, Camden is on the floor in his makeshift bed, and Merci is in the downstairs bassinet. We decided to camp out down there since we were going to ring in the New Year together and it would be late. Which, by the way, they were all out before the ball even dropped. So I think I am going to head down there and do a little reading before turning in myself.

Happy New Year Everyone!!
