Isn't Even Worth It?

That is the question of the morning. I have been up since about 6:00 a.m. and have been working on my computer since about 7:00. I've been doing various different things that I have been needing/wanting to do. About 9:00-9:30 a.m. my connection really began to slow down. I am sure it is because all the school kids and business workers are filling up the web. It is quite frustrating though. I had this lovely, fast connection prior. So I am wondering if I'll ever even be able to post this. I guess we will have to wait and see.

My weekend was long. I am still, today, trying to get over this cold that now my son also has. I am feeling much better. Today, I think part of my feeling better is the the 2 mugs of coffee I've had (half-caff of course for Merci's sake). I felt half decent on Saturday for the funeral. My sister wanted me to sing lead on all the songs and there was just no way. Partly because of the cold effecting my voice, but also because she was starting all the songs in keys beyond my range. I am an alto. I can sing some soprano, but am much more comfortable in alto. Well I couldn't reach it at all. So we swaped out and she did lead and I did harmony. It turned out really good. I think, honestly, that was the way it was supposed to be. She actually ended up doing one of the verses in It is Well by herself. Some how with only 20 minutes of practice (and I mean we only practiced that 20 minutes) it came together.

In other news, I got a call from a friend of mine asking if I still do wedding photography. Her co-workers daughter is getting married next February and is looking for a photographer. I guess they went to one of the bridal expo's this past weekend and the photographer they spoke to charged $3800 for photography and video. WOW! Well, I spoke to her and gave her a cost for my time and work. She said she was going to speak to her daughter but told me to please pencil in the date. From what I understand, this lady's boy-friends son is also getting married next January and is also looking for a photographer and asked if she could tell him about me. So I could possible have to weddings booked for next year already. I was telling Mike last night that I almost hate charging people for doing something I love so much. I hope to get that camera I've had my eye some time this year.

Speaking of pictures, I took some more of Merci yesterday. I've been a bit overdue on taking the kids pictures. I need to do Camden's sometime this week. Here are a couple of the ones of Merci for ya. Have a great day and keep warm. 'Til next time.
