Late Nights

Well, my youngest child has had some late nights lately so I have had some late nights. I have wanted to take that time at night when both of my kids are in bed to get "caught up" on my computer stuff. I have so many emails I need to write, I have blogs I have not read in weeks (OK, maybe just days), you get the picture. And speaking of picture, we will not even go there. I have so many picture projects I have needed/wanted to work on but have yet to do so. Tonight was another night where I had intended to do some work, but my time on the computer has been interrupted twice now. My daughter is awake for the third time since 9:30. The first time doesn't really count because it was my fault she woke up. I laid her down and didn't like the way she was laying and I moved her and that was all it took. I should have left her, but I'm an overly paranoid mother. Since then, I have no clue what her problem is other than she is overly tired. We had a long day today and she didn't nap her normal nap. She is currently have a good cry in her room as I, the mean mommy that I am, am ignoring her. I am doing so in hopes that she will cry herself back to sleep. When she was up earlier, I rocked her and fed her and she went right back to sleep. I am not going to make this a habit. She is 7 months old and should not be doing this. So...she can cry it out as far as I am concerned. She is not wailing, just fussing. She'll tire herself out enough eventually.

There really hasn't been too much worth blogging over. We have a HUGE wedding coming up this weekend that I have mixed feelings about attending. I am sure it is going to be a beautiful wedding, but I am attending without my wonderful hubby. Mike is working six days right now and if he calls off to go we are out a big chunk of money for that day. So my sister is going in his place which is fine with me, but it will be interesting...myself, my sister, my daughter...taking pictures, a sit down dinner reception and a baby, a bunch of people I do not know, and all in an area I am unfamiliar with. The wedding and reception are in Akron. Thank goodness my sister knows the area a little and that they sent a good map with the invitations. I'm sure I'll have at least one story for ya.

I am not too happy because I think the part in the back of my laptop where the adapter attaches is loose. You can feel it. I am so very careful when I plug and unplug it. According to my friend, who fiance does computer, this is a pretty common thing to go bad. The computer is two years old and this is first time I've had to have anything done. That's not too bad. But I guess it's gonna take $65 to fix it. He said he would do it just for the cost of the part, but still, I don't think it will get done anytime soon. Not with weddings and Dr.'s visits to pay for.

The kids are doing good. I can not believe how big they are getting. Camden is getting over an ear infection but otherwise is doing great. A couple of weeks ago we attended a night of bowling in honor my friends birthday and Camden just had a blast! This was his first time bowling and he loved it. Next time though, Mike and I have agreed that it is an event that should be done without the baby and two other little ones there. It got really crazy by the end of the night. I was pretty stressed! It was still a good experience for him.

Here is just a little group of Easter pics that I threw together. I know that I am a bit bias but I can't help it...my kids are just too darn cute! I love the bunny ears on Merci. She is looking more and more like her daddy, at least I think so. :0) I don't mind that...I have one good looking hubby!

Well, Merci's fussing has turned to crying and if I have any hope of wanting to sleep tonight I probably should go try something to get her back to sleep. I hope to post more pics and more interesting news soon. Have a great week everyone.

Miss Merci's already seven months old? WOW!

WOW!

No way.

Verity still goes through weird nights like those, and sometimes it happens all in one week. Like the Wednesday after our wreck, she was up three times, crying and screaming like from a nightmare. She fell asleep with me in the rocking chair once (she's getting too big to really cradle anymore), and then almost fell asleep in bed with me the second time. And then, the third time, Rob was home from work so he took her down on the couch and they slept there. I thought it might've been stress from the accident catching up with her (it caught up with me that day, too, and I crashed hard) but...

Well, ya never know with kids. Has Merci started teething yet? 'Cause Verity was really irritable at that point. We'd give her some Tylenol and she'd cheer up. She LOVES Tylenol, though.

I'm a mean mom, too. We can tell the difference between cries of real need and cries of want and whine, I think. Verity doesn't call me "Mommy". She calls me "Meanie". Yep. It has begun.

I think Adrienne and I both commiserate with your upcoming travel stress. Traveling without Daddy around is a big deal to me, too.

As for everything else, remember to take care of yourself so you can take care of them, okay?
