That's my laptops name. She's been gone for awhile now, but she should be returning to me this Wednesday. You never realize how dependant on something you are until it's not available. I am on my laptop off and on everyday and since I have been unable to use it for the better part of this last month, I've been beside myself. Mike and I are usually fighting over it by evening. We do not use it just for Internet, all of my photography stuff is on it. I have back up programs on our desktop, but it is so much more difficult to find time to sit down here at the desk (which is located upstairs in our bedroom). Both of my kids have been in bed for over an hour. Mike is down for the count as well, which is no surprise. (When you have narcolepsy, it doesn't take much!) So I thought now was a prime time to try to catch up on some blogging and emails.

Unfortunately, Mike was unable to go with me because of working, so my sister came in his place. Anyone who knows my sister Cheryl, knows she's not much of a girly girl (not that there is anything wrong with that). She doesn't get real dressed up much and the fact that she not only was willing to come with me but was willing to get all dressed up meant a lot. This was a pretty classy wedding which meant "dressing to the nine", I believe is the expression. The dress she wore was one that she wore for a wedding she was just in, in February. She was glad to have another chance to wear it again. I, on the other hand, had to find a dress. Would you believe I found my dress at a second hand store for only $4.00?!! I was so excited. It fit perfectly, length and all. It must have been one that was worn as a bridesmaids dress and I just so happened to find it on the right day. I was able to get shoes to match and spent less than $15.00 on my entire outfit. It was hard not tell people when I was complimented. I just smiled and said thank you thinking "If you only knew!". I took so many detailed pics of the reception as I was asked by the bride and groom to do so. I arrived well enough before the guests arrived to take the pics. These few were just random ones I took for myself on my digital. I did quite a few with my Nikon which I still have to get the film developed. I hope they turn out as well as I think they will. We shall see.
There really has not been anything blog worthy going on. The weather has brightened up my mood. It has felt good to get out of the house and do somethings with the kids. We have traveled to the park several times in the last week. We even ventured down to Columbiana park the other day and met my friend Stefanie. We had a really good time. I am so glad the weather is nice. I love being outside. I even played tennis with Mike the other night. It felt great!
This past weekend was the wedding. It was a nice wedding, very high class. The wedding was held at The Chapel in Akron and the reception was at the Hilton (also in Akron). The reception hall was decorated with such beautiful decorations and flowers. Here are just a few pics for ya.

Other than that, things around here are pretty uneventful, which I would like to keep it that way for as long as I can! HA! If life were only that easy, right? Well, I must admit that I am feeling pretty tired. These days, I do not last much past 11:00. So, I think I am off to bed for the night. May you all enjoy this beautiful weekend we are supposed to have. Until next time...
