My mind is blank. I am actually quite tired, but it's quiet here and I hate to waste some time to myself by going to bed. I figure, if I go to bed in 20 minutes I can still get a good 8 hours in. So this will be my attempt at some type of post. We'll see how great my mind is.
So, did all you mommies have a good Mother's Day? I did. It was relaxed and I enjoyed the company of my in-law's all day. It was nice and no pressure to rush around. I was glad to spend my day in the presence of one of the greatest mother's I know. We enjoyed my brother-in-law's great BBQ chicken and all of Kimmy's great sides. The best was the pie and cheesecake, which if you haven't read/seen it, you can here. Boy, I could go for a piece of that pie right about now!! Monday afternoon, my mother came over for a visit and dinner. We told her we'd come over after being with my in-laws on Sunday, but she opted to come to our place and to come Monday so that I could have some time for myself on Mother's Day. I thought that was a nice thing of her to do and I made sure she knew I appreciated it. It was a nice visit and I was glad to have that time with her.
Last night we took the kids out on a few errands and we made a quick stop at the Austintown Library. Though it is not my other home (Columbiana Library), it is a nice library to visit. I hate how Mahoning County has their library system set up in comparison to Columbiana. In Columbiana County each library is it's own individual branch run by a board of trustees. The materials that are in Columbiana's library are not shared on a regular basis with the other branches (unless it is requested). In Mahoning County it is all done by a union and the different branches share material. So if you are looking for something and it says it is available...don't get your hopes up, it's probably at another branch. I loved about Columbiana. If something says it is available (mind you it's not been stolen, but still in the system) you will find on the shelf at Columbiana. I have still used Columbiana's library but it doesn't make much sense to drive 20 minutes when there is a library less then 5 minutes away. For those who don't know (which you must be living under a rock some where or do not live around here...Adrienne) I worked for Columbiana Library for almost 7 1/2 years. Though there were times I really wanted to throw the towel and leave because of the people, I loved my job. I loved it so much so that I went back after Camden was born only working weekends. I had to quit though, because I was missing my time with my family more. Both times that I quit I was offered to come back anytime. Not to "toot my own horn" but it was a great honor to be told the second time I quit that I had been "irreplaceable" in some of my jobs. As a matter of fact, even just working the weekends, I was given my job back as editor of the newsletter. That is one of the jobs I miss the most. But...that is also the biggest job title that helped spar me on into the photography. I took pictures for some of the newsletter's articles and since I had to edit everything, it only made sense. Also, they didn't want too many people handling the camera they had invested a lot of money in. I gained a great education while being the editor. I had to learn a new program they had purchased for the newsletter which was designed specifically for things of that nature. It was a bit difficult to learn, but I loved using it. Honestly, I don't think anyone else knows how to use it there (unless they have trained some new). It appears to me that they have gone back to using Microsoft Publisher. Also, they paid for me to take a class on Adobe Photoshop. I took the class and found out a month later I was pregnant. Bummer. I would love to do all of that again. I'm sorry for my ranting (I apologize if I came across as bragging). I've been thinking about my job there a lot lately. Mike and I were just talking about it the other night. Though, I don't plan on going back any time soon, I must say it has crossed my mind a few times. I may still go back. As I told Mike, it would be a thing where I would only do so if I could work hours where my kids would be home with him. I don't want to work to pay someone else to watch my kids. IF I did go back it would only be for a few hours a week and would mainly be just to give me a little time out of the house (which is why I went back on the weekends). When you enjoy your job, it makes it easy to come back to. Maybe once we find a house and move it will be something to consider. Until then, I am happy with where I am. And if I never go back, that is fine with me too. I don't even know where all of that came from. Any way...
So, after all of that, I am really tired now. My brain can't think much more. So, I am off to get some sleep. Hope ya'll have a good week (what's left of it) and weekend. TTFN

Not sure if you think I live under rock or not in the area ;p...I actually had deduced from previous blogs that you worked at the Columbiana Library.
We used to go to the Lisbon Library and I just loved Virginia who worked there.
Anywho. I actually wanted to comment on what a wonderful thing that you and your mom were both comfortable with spending time together 24 hours after Mother's Day...it's ashame when we lose the feel of the day trying to be "societal".
My apologies if that came across in a why that offended, I forget how long some people have been reading my blog. Also, I have a few friends who read this that may not have known about my job prior to having my kids. So, sorry about that. :0) And about the Lisbon library, I have actually never been there. There are a lot of local libraries I have never visited. I just heard today that they are about to build another big one not to far from where my hubby works. It will be big with a cafe and media center, much like our library here in Austintown.
And the Mother's Day thing was so appreciated on my part because not that I do not want to celebrate the mothers in my life, but I'm a mother too. So it was nice to have time for me as well.
Oh gee, I wasn't at all offended. I was just...I must be tired too. I was going to say kidding, but, well, I'm not a kidd...anyway! You see where I'm coming from. My mind just gets a little off track when I get tired!
