I have been researching car seats and booster seats for our kids. Camden has a car seat that is also a booster seat but Merci's is just a standard car seat that she will be in until she is 40 pounds. My research is into whether or not we should just pass down Camden's seat to her when needed and just get Camden a good booster seat. Or should we keep Camden in his car seat/booster seat until he reaches the 80 pound weight limit and get Merci a new seat when needed. I hope I didn't lose you there. Any-whoo, I actually stumbled across a link to this video while reading one of the blogs I found.
My thoughts have changed after seeing this story. My point in this post is not to sway anyone to use a 5-point harness or to scare any parent into rethinking what they use for their child. I just found this to be far too important to just bypass and not share. I have been using the 5-point harness on Camden still and was about to change over to the booster seat, but now I will not. It does not make him less of a "big kid" by still using it, it simply makes him a safer "big kid". He thinks nothing of having to buckle up.
I'll end this with a link to a site for safety on carseats and booster seats.
