It's been too long my friends!

I have been super busy and ubber tired!
I think all of the changes that have been taking place over the last few weeks have finally caught up with me. My body has just been dragging. Some days I feel like my mind is running a mile a minute and my body is doing everything just to keep up with it. I took a 3 hour nap on Sunday. I thought it was 2 1/2 but Mike informed me it was a full 3 hours. Do you know how long it has been since I took a 3 hour nap? And I ended up going to bed early that night and sleeping a full 8 hours. Exhausted I tell ya!

So Thanksgiving ended up being at our house. Just a minor change it plans and it seemed to work out better for all of us. I had everything completely unpacked by Tuesday, so Wednesday when I was asked if we could house everyone for the holiday I was all in. Mike and I got the tables set up and ready by Wednesday night. My sister-in-law Kimmy was already doing the main parts of the meal (turkey, potatoes, stuffing) so I just had to have the pies made and make a green bean casserole. It felt nice to have everyone in our new home. Mike and I were glad to have everyone here. Here are a couple of scrap-pages that I did of photos from Thanksgiving.

------------------------------------

Friday Auntie, Kimmy, Uncle Frank's daughter Rebecca, and I all decided to brave the crowds and do some shopping. Uncle Frank kept my two kiddos from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. so that we could shop. For that in and of it self I was thankful! Thanks again Uncle Frank!! I love ya!

As we were heading out of town Kimmy's stalker (don't ask) was walking down the street. Really we are friends with said stalker. Any-whoo I had my camera with me and told Kimmy we should jump and stalk the stalker. Hehehe. It was so funny. I still laugh about it now. She did not see it coming. The stalker has now become the stalkee.

------------------------------------

Saturday we had a couple of surprise visits from my brother and Anita and from Kimmy and Kevin. In between the surprise visits I worked on doing nothing! I made myself take the afternoon off. Saturday evening we did our family tradition of putting up the Christmas decorations. This is a tradition we have always done in my family that I carried over when Mike and I got married. The Saturday after Thanksgiving was always the big holiday decorating day. We had placed the trees up with just the lights on Wednesday, so we decorated the big family tree together. Then we put on The Grinch, another family tradition, while drinking cocoa and snacking on popcorn. In between the cocoa, popcorn, and movie I decorated the pencil tree that was so kindly given to me. Thank you so much Connie. I absolutely LOVE it! This picture does not do it justice! Also there is another scrap-page of our family decorating.

------------------------------------

Today Mike is off and we need to do some errands. My mom is also stopping by after she gets of work at 1:00. This will be her first time seeing the house. I can't wait for her to see it. Well, I am off to change a stinky girl, get lunch ready, and fold my clean towels. I will have a post of house pics and updates. I promise...ASAP. Until next time my friends...TTFN.

A 3 hour nap...that is awesome. This time of year, you have to give into your bodies needs. Rest when you can. Beautiful scrapbook pages. Once again, great shots of the food. Cute tree also!

What a great holiday it sounds like you had. Love the scrapgook pages, you are so on top of it.

I think I see another thing we have in common. Is that a deep burgandy color I see on your tree???
