Meme Stealing Thief

I said yesterday that I might find a meme to do in order to help keep me coming back to blog. Kimmy had a couple of Sundays in a row where she posted what seemed to be a continuing meme from the week before. So, I just stole her two. :)

1. Song that always makes you sad?  I'm weird but the song "The Leader of the Band" by Dan Fogelberg makes me want to cry every time I hear it. For some odd reason it makes me think of my dad.

2. Last thing you bought?  Hmm...I ordered a new photo book online. Does that count?

3. Last person you argued with? I have really tried hard not to argue with anyone. But being completely honest the hubby and I had an argument on Sunday. But as always we were able to quickly resolve our differences and move on. Love that man!

4. Do you put butter before putting the peanut butter on? I use to do that all the time but only with toast. I haven't done so in ages.

5. One of your stuffed animals’ names as a kid? I had a huge penguin that I named Picky. I loved that penguin!

6. Did you ever at one time own a Barenaked Ladies CD? Can't say that I ever did.

7. Favorite day of the week? Well it used to be Tuesdays. But any more it's any day that my hubby gets the day off. That is typically any random day and usually we don't know until the night before. I do love Sundays though! :)

8. Favorite sundae topping? GOOD hot fudge!

9. Did you take piano lessons? I did when I was about 5-6 years old. I wanted to keep taking them but my mother said I complained too much about practicing so she stopped having me take them. I've always been disappointed by her making that choice for me.

10. Most frequent song played? I would say it's a toss up between Matt Redman's "You Never Let Go" and "I Am New" by Jason Gray.

11. T.V. show you secretly enjoy? I'm obsessed with Hoarders and Hoarding: Buried Alive.

12. Would you rather play basketball or hockey? Basketball. I'd fall too much on the ice! And I love to shoot hoops.

13. Date someone older or younger? I've always gone for the older guy. Well, seeing as I was 17 and Mike was 21 when we started dating. Seriously though, I like the age difference between us.

14. One place you could travel right now? Florida. I would love the beach and sun. And I miss my sister.

15. Do you use umbrellas? If I'm alone and going in and out a lot and the rain is coming down I do.

16. Do you know all the words to the Canadian national anthem? Uhm, no. Sadly not sure I've ever heard it. Shame on me.

17. Favorite cheese? Cheddar, New York Sharp...I'm with Kimmy on this one. I also love Pepper Jack.

18. The Smith’s or The Cure? Neither, sorry...ditto Kimmy.

19. Do you prefer blondes or brunettes?  It doesn't matter to me. It's about the personality. For me personally though I am defiantly better as a brunette.

20. Best job you ever had? Well, outside of the home my job at the library was the best job. They were so good to me and I know if I ever wanted to go back I'd be welcomed with open arms. But I love my current job. Photography has always been a great passion.

21. Did you go to your high school prom? Nope. I could have gone my Junior year, but my now husband at the time was way to embarrassed to go. I was pretty disappointed but I considered our wedding reception our own prom!

22. Perfect time to wake up? If I get to sleep past 8:00-8:30, I'm happy.

23. Perfect time to go to bed?  I'd say about 1:00.

24. Do you use your queen right away in chess? I haven't played in awhile, but I don't recall ever using my queen right away.

25. Ever been in a car accident? Yes and the last one was one I'll never forget. Changed my life. And I pray it's the last one I'm ever in.

26. Closer to mom or dad…or neither? Honestly, it's a toss up. I'm really close to both. But honestly, I'd say I may be just a smidge closer to my daddy. And yes, I call my dad, daddy. And I didn't start calling him that until I was an adult. :)

27. What age is this exciting life over for you? What kind of question is that? HA! Life should be exciting every year. I hope I'm like my dad at 72 and looking for the next project or adventure.

28. What decade during the 20th century would you have chosen to be a teenager? I have said my whole life that I was born in the wrong era. I would have loved to been a teenager in the 60's. I think being a kid in the 50's and a teenager in the 60's would have been great. I love the 50's - 60's!

29. Favorite shoes you have EVER owned?  I had these black and white Adidas tennis shoes in high school that I LOVED. And now I love my brown "Ugg" like boots.

30. Do you have an article of clothing you have had since you were in high school?  I do actually. And it's still one of my fav's! It's a t-shirt from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (College at the time). I got it when I went down with our youth group and played volleyball. It's so thin now but I love it. It's so comfy even 18 years later!

31. Were you in track and field? Nope

32. Were you ever in a school talent show? Nope.

33. Have you ever written in a library book? Yes I have written in several! But it was for mending reasons when I worked at the library and I was allowed to. ;)

34. Allergic to? Seasonal things such as ragweed, golden rod, etc...also dust and mold.

35. Favorite fruit? BING CHERRIES! My fav!
