I am still struggling with feeling run down. I've been told it's part of having bronchitis. I feel much better than I did earlier in the week but it doesn't take much for me to feel tuckered out. I did a little bit of cleaning yesterday and ran to the pharmacy (for the third time in three days) and I felt so worn out by days end. I have vowed to not do anything other than make a big stock pot of chili today! We are having a pretty big snow storm here and so we will be keeping warm all weekend and chili will help warm us up and it just sounds yummy!
My Merci-girl is doing much, much better! The antibiotics have cleared up her sinus infection well. She has had the most energy this entire week. Even when not feeling well she was running around acting (for the most part) like herself.
My Sweet-boy on the other hand has had his ups-and-downs this week. He has had the cough and stuffy, runny nose. He laid around much of the day Wednesday and was kind of cranky. Thursday he seemed to be bouncing back and was doing better. Yesterday he was cranky again and was complaining his ears hurt. Another call to the Doctor, another prescription to get filled, and another day with another sick kiddo. The cough meds make him really sleepy so he's getting lots of rest which is good.
The hubby is doing good. He has had a few of the cold symptoms but so far so good. Nothing to terribly yucky to mention. I've been praying for him. He works out in the cold weather and I know he has done it for so long he's become accustom to it, but it would be an awful time for him to get sick. So far, the prayers seem to be working. ;)

Let's see... in other news, I'm so excited because I won a "Pay It Forward" give-away over at Tollesons4Him. I look forward to receiving my prize and doing my own "Pay It Forward" give-away. Be watching for the upcoming post!

Also, I am being interviewed by Tollesons4Him! I have been asked these 5 questions.
- If you were on a deserted Island and could only bring ONE thing what would that ONE thing be?
- If you could spend one whole day with someone dead or alive who would that one person be?
- You inherited 1 million dollars from a rich uncle what would you do with it?
- You are a leading actress in Hollywood ….who would your leading man be?
- What is your favorite quote, scripture, etc.?
OK, so here are my answers:
1. This is pretty easy...an iPod full of great music and an audio NLT Bible.
2. I would spend the entire day with my Mother-in-law and share the experience with my whole family.
3. I would tithe, pay-off all our debt, I would help my family, I would give to charity/church organization, and what was left would be to make a good home for our kids.
4. Well, I would want my hubby to be my leading man, but hey it's Hollywood right? So I'd have to say Matthew McConaughey. ;)
5. Quote: "Put God first and EVERYTHING will fall into place" - Uncle Frank and scripture is Proverbs 3:5&6 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight."

With sickies in our home and now the cold snowy weather, we've had to be creative with our time. Most of the time we are on the couch resting, watching DVD's, or playing on the computer. But a couple of days, while we had the energy, the kids and I had a little fun. Monday we had a tea party. I know it's not quite the boy thing to do, but he was more than willing to play along. I made a couple of snacks and we had real tea. The kids loved it!

------------------------------------------
Yesterday in between the fussiness of a sick 5 year old, we got out Merci's new Dora the Explorer Play-Do playset. We played for a good hour. The kids love Play-Do and I love that I have a floor that makes it easy to clean up!
------------------------------------------
Well, I can not believe that it's about mid-afternoon already! I should go get my chili started so that it can simmer awhile before my hubby gets home. For those around here, be safe. I would venture to say we've got about 5-6 inches out there already and it keeps coming. Until next time my friends...TTFN.

Great post! It was worth the wait!! I love the snow and am glad that I don't have to be in it but could it have at least snowed when my kids were feeling good?? Never fails. Hope your chili is great and have a nice warm fun evening!
We saw you in the pharmacy drive thru line, blocking up the roadway! hehe
