In All The Craziness

It has been proven to me how good God really is. Through all the craziness, through all the pain, through all the heartache...God really does know what He is doing. His timing is not our timing. His ways are not our ways. What He sees is not necessarily what we see. His understanding is defiantly not our understanding. And yet trusting that He is in control is something that feels so natural. Though I wish that I knew what He was thinking at times or what He was doing in my life, I know that I know that I know that He knows. That is all that matters, isn't it? Trust.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:5-6

I am so far behind on my blogging. I guess NaBloPoMo went out the window. I am so very bummed about that. I wanted so much to get through the entire month this year without missing a day. I should have figured that there would be at least a couple of days where we'd be without internet. Sneaking off to the local cafe or library was out of the question. I have spent every minute working on getting us settled. I am not one for living out of boxes. Because of that, I have everything almost completely unpacked! You heard me right, we are almost done with unpacking. All that is left is some clothes in Merci's room and our room to be put away and hanging pictures. I actually felt settled enough yesterday to take some time off. I baked an apple pie with a crust that was too flaky, but still good. I also had the pleasure of an afternoon visit with one of my dear friends, Stef. I then cooked a quick dinner and then met up with Stef again for a cup of coffee and some shopping. Christmas shopping for her, Thanksgiving and grocery shopping for me. Steve, Stef's husband, then met up with us to pick her up at our house. We shared a little visit as couples over pie and also a house tour for Steve. It was a great day yesterday and I was glad I gave myself the day off. Today will be spent baking four pumpkin pies. I may also have a visit from another dear friend of mine Val. I haven't heard yet for sure, but she and the kids may be coming by to see the house. I hope so, I love visiting with her. ;)

Here are just a few more sneak peeks of the house. I had taken these photos in a hurry as I was hoping to catch my sister online to share them with her. I didn't take my time and it was at night so the picture quality is terrible. But it just another sneak peek any way. I will be dedicating an entire post to just house updates and I'll be sure it's full of updated pics as well. There may even be a few Christmas photos of the kids. ;)

The Christmas tree is up with just the lights. We are spending Saturday night decorating the tree and the house as a family. Afterward we will be having cocoa and popcorn as we watch The Grinch. Just one of our family Christmas traditions. I can't wait!

Well, I should get myself off to the kitchen and get started on the pie baking. I can't wait for a nice piece of pumpkin pie! Hmmm. Until later my friends...TTFN

May you have fun decorating your new place and sitting by the cozy fire watching movies drinking hot chocolate. Oh so you don't have a fireplace, I was just trying to set the mood!! LOL!! Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

So true...God does know what He is doing and He does have a plan for our lives. Sometimes it is hard to understand, and it takes great faith to trust that He has it all under control, but HE does and so we stretch our Faith, it is then that He can move and bless us beyond our dreams. He only has good plans for us. Great post and love the new place! Good luck with all the pies.
