I HATE WAL-MART!

Ok, so I don't hate all Wal-Mart stores but I do hate the Austintown store. I would not go there but for the fact that is close. I needed to purchase a few item and had contemplated making the drive to Salem since I was husbandless and sonless for the evening. After much thought, I decided I would stick to doing my errands here in town. So I headed over to Wal-Mart and began my shopping. As I made my way through the different aisles in search of the items on my list, I found myself running into people left and right. No matter what aisle I picked there was either an old person or two ladies who were too busy talking to notice the fact that I said "excuse me". I have yet to go to the Austintown Wal-Mart and it not be busy. I really don't understand why. I know that it is convenient for those who live here, but it doesn't seem to really matter what day of the week it is. They are just simply busy all the time. I guess you could say that I became very spoiled with living so close to the Super Wal-Mart in Salem. That leads to the small silver lining in this story. The lady that was checking me out commented on the new cold food section. I politely comment back that I was use to the Wal-Mart in Salem. She replied that they are going to making the Austintown Wal-Mart a Super Center like that in Salem. Now I have heard rumors of that for years and I told her this. She too, said she's heard it for years, but there is serious talk that it is going to happen. Now that would make me happy. Then again, it may just make those kooks who are always there just multiply. I would then be forced to have no choice but to make the hike to Salem. The drive would be well worth it if it mend not have to put up with those Wal-Mart junkies who call this local store home.

I hate the Boardman Wal-Mart and refuse to go. I had to go to night court last night for a speeding ticket (my first one EVER), and there were a surprising number of people appearing before the judge who were arrested for disorderly conduct at Wal-Mart. I much prefer the New Castle one and since my mom lives in NC, will go to that one sometimes.

Send me your email address, and I'll send you those directions to the silver bridge in Mill Creek Park. Let me know where you're coming from, too, so I know which way to take you. It's supposed to be nice this weekend, so the leaves in the park should be beautiful. My email is kwetzl@bjalanco.com

It's OK Cathy, I'm a bit of a Wal-Mart junkie too. But trust me when I say that you aren't like these junkies and kooks. These kooks are out of their minds and as rude as all get out!! I know you aren't one of those kinds! :0)
