Yet another lovely day for our family. We spent the today out as a family again. We made our way to Boardman for the first time since before Christmas. We made a few quick business stops and went on our way to find some birthday gifts and a few other odds and ends. After our first stop we headed to the Diner on South Ave. and Rt. 224. This was our first visit. Mike enjoyed a tasty looking burger and fries. I, on the other hand, had an extremely tasty hot roast beef sandwich which something very out of the ordinary for me. I must say, I was quite surprised by how good the food was. It is defiantly a stop we will make again. We headed towards our next stop where Mike dropped Camden and I off to do a little shopping while he went to a Dr.'s appointment just down the street. By the time he came back to pick us up and did a little shopping of his own it was time to head home. I know it doesn't sound like a whole lot, but it was a full day. We left at 11:00 this morning and didn't get home until 6:30. We were supposed to go to a get together for TJ's birthday but decided we would meet up with them sometime later this weekend. Camden crashed in his seat before we even hit Market St. so he was wiped out.
I can not say enough how much I love my family; my husband, my son, and yes, even my dog. I love that each day we grow closer and closer. I love that I know my husband like no else. I love that my son is so sweet and loving. I love that my dog knows when I'm hurting and will come lay beside me in a time of need. I love my extended family quite deeply, but there is something to be said for a family of your own. Days such as this are cherished and valued for their simplicity. I teared up today at lunch simply because I saw my son sitting next to his daddy in the booth, no booster seat, no high chair, just him on his knees. I realized in the moment how big he really is and how quickly time is going by. Though he is only two, the past two years have flown by. I look at his face and I know that before I know it he will be a young man. It is now that we should savor each moment.
Well enough of the sappy mommygushingoverherson moments. I'm off to other things. Good night my friends.
