Blog Point Challenge

OK, since I didn't take part in the last challenge, I am more than up to the challenge this time. This may not be much write about but here it goes.

The Date: July 14th, 2006

Time:
6:45 a.m.
Awoke this morning with a nasty shooting pain down my leg. I wasn't happy about this. Laid around deciding whether I should just get up or not.

7:00 a.m.
Got up and gave my husband some money to stop at the store on his way home from work. I guess he helped make my choice about getting up or not.
Kissed my loving husband good-bye and made my way to the kitchen.
Found myself staring into the fridge and then deciding on a yogurt.
Came back to the living room and flipped through the morning news shows.

7:45 a.m.
Decided to go back to bed and try sleep a little more, hoping Camden sleeps a little more.

8:31 a.m
Awoke to a friend calling to wake me from my sleep in which I had just gotten into. Grrrr! :0[

8:40ish a.m.
Fell back to sleep.

10:35 a.m.
Awoke to my sweet boy coming out to the couch were I was sleeping. I was greeted with a sweet and gentle kiss on my cheek and a "I waking up Mommy". Nothing like being greeted in such a way, it made the earlier morning
seem to disappear from my memory. :0)

10:45 a.m.
Put the movie Madagascar on for the sweet boy who so politely asked. Proceeded to the kitchen to make a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast.
Chatted briefly with my best friend while toasting the bagel.
Made my way back to the living room to eat said bagel and check my email where I am now stuck documenting this, so far boring day for you all and haven't even got to the mail.

11:35 a.m.
Finally got to check mail, after reading my list of blogs first, cuz that's just how I do it. After deleting all the junk in my mail, emailed Kim just for the heck of it. I understand the disappointment of not getting anything good from anyone in my email.

11:45 a.m.
I decided that it was time get ourselves out of our PJ's and into our regular clothes. As I was changing Camden, I noticed this rash all across his chest and around to his back and up his neck. I was first convinced that it was a heat rash but decided I should call someone just for a second thought.

11:50 a.m.
Called my close friend for her opinion on Camden's situation. I remembered that I've been told that sometimes in small children certain viruses can manifest itself in a rash. Well, that is what my friend said and her daughter had a rash when she had Strep Throat. Great. I am now officially in freak out mode. All I could think of was "what am I gonna do?". I realize I told my lovely husband to take my car to work because of the heat. His car has no air and mine does, so I thought I was being nice. Thus, this left me with only our beat up Pontiac that I do not think is very dependable. I was trying to figure out how I'd get him to the dr.'s office if they could get him in.

11:55 a.m.
Called my mom who was not home. She tends to go to my sisters on Friday's to do laundry or watch her kids, so I tried there. I got no luck but my wonderful brother-in-law was instant that I stop trying to find my mom and that he and the kids would help by taking us. As much as I protested him going out of his way he insisted and would not take no for an answer.

12:00 p.m.
Called the dr. who got us in at 1:30 p.m. I got off the phone and finished getting us both ready.

12:30 p.m.
Played blocks and alphabet letters with my son.

12:45 p.m.
Answered the door to find my family here to help us out. I then went out and got our spare car seat put in their van.

12:55 p.m
I proceeded to get my son ready to which he protested with great passion. I have never seen my son behave in such a way. Though he was glad to see his cousins, whom he loves dearly, he didn't not want to leave which is unusual. He then went into the worst tantrum I've ever seen. I should say, it was his only tantrum thus far. He kicked, screamed "NO", drug himself, and cried the whole way out to the van. He continued his fit as I struggled to get him into the very back of the van into his car seat. Once buckled in, he seemed fine.

1:25 p.m.
We finally arrived at the dr.'s office and checked ourselves in. I filled out new, updated info because we haven't had Camden in to see the doctor since last October for his 2 year check up. Yeah, we were fortunate that we made it through the whole winter with nothing more than a cold and a couple of fevered days.

1:40 p.m.
We were called back where Camden was weighed on the big scale and they checked his height. Which, in case you care to know, is 30 pounds and 36 inches tall (3 feet!). We are then escorted back to our "special room" for the little ones that come into see the doctor (we go to a family practice).

1:45 p.m.
The doctor came in and did his normal thing of checking his heart and ears. We were saving the throat for last since that is never fun. The dr. then takes a peek at his tummy and back to see the lovely rash that brought us there to begin with. The dr. assures me that from the looks of it, what he has is a virus. That means the fever he had all week was not from his teeth after all. He then brings us medicine to take home and told me he should be fine by the first of next week.

2:00 p.m.
We decide that we are all hungry and stop at Burger King for lunch. The kids loved this. They had a blast playing with each other and just getting to see one another.

2:35 p.m
We head for the hills. We make our way back home for the rest of the day, at least for Camden.

3:30 p.m.
I get home to find that our power is out. All the air conditioners must have been doing a number on the power system. I laid with Camden in his room where the power finally came back on around 4:00 p.m.

5:00-5:45 p.m.
I had to get myself ready to go to the wedding rehearsal for tomorrow's big day.

6:00 p.m.
I made my down to East Palestine and hoped that I could find the church. I don't know the town real well and wasn't given much as far as directions. I figured I'd just have to wing it once I got into town.

6:30 p.m.
I got into town and found the street quite easily. I felt proud of myself for not getting lost.

6:30-8:00 p.m.
I found myself in a very hot church taking pictures of the rehearsal, not knowing more than two people. It was interesting to say the least. Actually, the whole thing went really well. The church is kind of small and so it makes it hard to move around and not be noticed. I do not like to be in the eye of the congregation any more than need be. All in all it went really well. I was asked to please stay for the dinner that followed. How could I say "no" when the grandmother of the bride is insisting that I stay. "They baby needs food. Stay. Stay". She was very sweet.

8:15-8:45 p.m.
I enjoyed the dinner. It was actually really, really good. They had roasted turkey, stuffed shells, a yummy rice dish, and salad. After a briefing with the bride, groom, and the mothers I made my way towards the door to leave. As I was getting ready to leave, our friends Steve and Stefanie stop me and insist that I take their cell phone with me. I have a phone but it is prepaid phone and the minutes just ran out the other day and I haven't had the chance to fill it again. I explained that I was fine and made it there just fine and I'd do the same going home. Again, with much persistence I was made to take the phone until tomorrow 'just in case'. They are all very persistent, let me tell you!

9:00 p.m.
Made a quick stop at Rite-Aid to get Camden's medicine. I then headed home.

9:40 p.m.
I came home to boxes and furniture moved. My husband worked hard while I was gone cleaning, packing, and getting ready for the move. I actually walked in to find him at the dishwasher loading it up for me. I really do have the best hubby, ever! *smiles at the thought*

10:30 p.m.
I settled in after changing into more comfy clothes and uploaded the pics from tonight. I have been sitting here at my computer ever since.

So there you go. I tried to put a different spin on my lay out, but it was all still quite boring. Although, I must admit, it was fun putting it all down in words. I hope that I didn't bore you too much. Please excuse my lack of editing. I'm am pretty tired and typed this up quickly. May the best blogger win!
