I woke up with a monstrous headache this morning. After a cup of coffee and no change, I've now taken some meds and hope that it goes away soon. Other than the headache I'm feeling really good today. I feel like we are finally settled and things are coming together. As my hubby has been saying "there is light at the end", of the tunnel that is.
I went yesterday to set up a PO Box number for us. I didn't want to swamp my brothers mailbox with our mail as well so since this is just a temporary move any way I wanted to make sure that was all taken care of. Mike also dropped off our keys to the townhouse. The management still does not want responsibility for what happened. But, that's OK. We have a court date the end of November when we will pleed our case before a judge. I have a peace that justice will be served and we will be reimbursed for what we've lost.
Just after leaving the post office yesterday I got a call from Kimmy. She got a lovely new cell phone and was asking if I could help with a little problem she was having. Her call reminded me that my hubby has been wanting me to add him to my plan so that he could have a phone with him when he is at work. We've been sharing my phone which has been hard since it is our main source of contact with family and friends. So, with that reminder, I myself headed over to Alltel to look into adding him. I was able to not only add him, but I got a great plan and the same lovely phone that Kimmy got. Yes, I know. I'm a copycat. I love the phone so much that I gave my old pink one to my hubby! Yep, that's right. I got the new phone and he got the old one. Well for now at least. My mom has asked about adding her to our plan. She is on the go ALL the time and recently has taken on a part-time job. I think it's only safe that she have one. So once we have taken care of a few things we are going to add her to our plan and she will then get the cute little pink phone (which I've only had for about four months). My hubby will then get a new phone. I realize how selfish it sounds that I got the new phone. But if you only knew all the problems we had with my original phone a few months back, you'd know why I got the new phone. And before we decided to add Mike to my plan he told me he didn't mind if I got the knew phone. My phone is our main phone any way. I sure do sound like I'm trying to convience myself that it's OK that I got the new phone. HAHA!
OK. I have to rant for just a moment about the whole ordeal with Brett Farve and his coming back to play football. I have only become a big football fan within the last 4-5 years. I mean I LOVE FOOTBALL. I was so very excited to see the pre-season games began this week. I can't wait until Sept. for the kick for the '08-'09 season. I really do consider myself a die-hard fan. So when the idea of Brett Farve coming back after his tear-jerking retirement, I started to get a little irritated. I remember seeing his announcement and how chocked up he was about the decision to retire. It seemed it was time and I know it was a tough decision for him. So not even a year later, here he comes saying he wants to come back. I can't help but feel irritated. Brett played for some 17 years and had a great run. Now, he has not only changed his mind about retirement but he want to come back to the same team and his same position. There are rookies out there that deserve the chance to be just as good as Brett. For example this how I explained to it Mike. About five years ago Ben Rothlesberger had his big chance to be starting quarterback for the Steelers. Had the quarterback that he replaced been like Brett and been with the Steelers for 17 years and then retired and decided to change his mind and come back, where would Ben Rothlesberger be? Would he be still a rookie backup quarterback? Would he have had the chance to be what he is now with the Steelers? No way. Maybe Ben would have had a chance on some other team, but he would have never had a chance just backing someone up who decided to come out of retirement. I think it is very selfish of Brett Farve to want to not only come out of retirement but to expect to come back to the same position on the same team. He should have never retired to begin with. It seems obviouse to me that he didn't take the time to think over his original decision. And if he already made the choice to retire, than he's done. Grr.
I feel better now that that is off my chest!
We took the kids to the park the other night and I decided that I should take some pics of them since it's been a little while. I also did a few of my brother and his family. Not too bad I think...

I have a ton more that I am going to save for a slideshow later on. There are some really funny ones of my brother and his wife and of him and his son! Check back later for those.
Well, this turned into a much longer post than I had intended. I should go get some things done before the day escapes me.
Have a great day everyone!!

beautiful photos!
This post deserved more than one comment! :0 Great pictures - do you always dress merci up so cute? And Camden too, I just notice Merci wears a lot of dresses!
Arielle loves to wear skirts and dresses, but it seems like most of her outfits are pants, shirts, capris and little tops.
I desperately need to get rid of a ton of the kids clothes - If you want, I could see what I have that is nearly new, that I have the heart to part with. I'd be happy to mail them to you. Arielle is completely out of 2t's and beginning to graduate from her 3's.
By the way, enjoy the new phone. I am certain Mike looks great with a pink one!
That is so very, very sweet of you!
Merci is growing so fast it's been hard keeping up with her!
It's funny you mention her in dresses because I don't wear dresses on her all the time. She has a lot of those little skirts that have shorts under them that I wear on her. But mostly she wears capris and shorts and jeans and t-shirts. I just dull them both up for pics! ;)
BTW...I will have to get your email so we can exchange addresses sometime. ;)
