The Life of a Clumbsy Mama

I broke my toe.

I was chasing after my daughter who defiantly ran from me. As I chased her down I ran smack into the corner of my brothers couch. My sister-in-law, my nephew, and myself all heard a crack like a twig snapping. Instantly my foot began to swell and I felt light-headed. I thought at first I just just stubbed it but it was noticeable that my toe was turned in the wrong direction.

My toe is nicely tapped up now. I can actually walk, slowly, but I can walk. Last night and the first half of today I could barely get around. I had to hop and hobble. I can't stand or walk too much because my toes begin to really swell. Thank goodness our move is over. We are pretty much all settled in.

As a matter fact, I helped my brother redo "our" bathroom yesterday, prior to the broken toe incident. Ed had already stripped the wallpaper and had a coat of paint done by the time the kids and I got up for the day. It looks great in there. I'll have to take some pics.

Speaking of, everything has been going well. I can not believe we've been here for 2 weeks already. Mike and I have both said that it feels like we've always been here. I do not intend to stay here forever, but I am thankful for the opportunity to better our situation with a little help from my family. We laugh a lot and talk a lot and yet we keep our personal space. There are some days where we've only seen each other in passing. I can't not tell you how sure I am that we made the right decision.

Well, I best be going. My foot is beginning to throb and I need to take some more meds. I should get off to bed any way. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. TTFN

I couldn't help but giggle. Someday, Beth, you'll look back and you and Mike will laugh out loud at the antics your kids pulled. I'm praying for you!
