Sunday we took the kids to the mall, to lunch, Target, and then to a birthday party. Because of Mike's work schedule, his day off is different each week. We do not get the opportunity to have days where we can spend the entire day out as a family. First was Merci getting her ears pierced. I posted a little about this in my Not Me Monday post. I know to some she is too young. Yet, I know some who had their daughter's ears pierced when they were babies. I knew she was ready. Every day when I put my earrings in she stand and watches and say "Mommy my ears" as she touches them both. I have asked her for months if she want to be able wear earrings like Mommy and it is always a resounding "Yea Mommy!". She really was amazing and we were so proud of her. She never touches them and loves to look at her new pretty ears!
Afterward we took Camden to Build-a-Bear for the first time. We've been waiting to take him and just as a surprise we chose that day. He was so excited as he picked out the adorable little dog to make his own. He was a little unsure at first of what to do. But the he had so much fun. He brushed him and bathed him and then picked out a Steelers jacket for his doggy that he then named Scruffy. He said he wanted to name him Roethlisberger but decided not to. That's my boy!! At least it was a though!
After our stop at Target we then hit the birthday party. By 8:00 the meltdowns were about to begin so we called it a day and headed home. I think it makes a better family when we can have simple days such as that. We enjoy our time out with our kids. They are always well behaved. We really are blessed!
Monday after the awful attack, I was able to feel at ease enough the rest of the night to be able to enjoy the company of my best friend...my hubby. We enjoyed our dinner and had such a good conversation. I am so glad he understands and relates to me so well. I love you baby! Here are a few pic from dinner. We went to O'Charley's by his choosing. It was very good! I want to go again so I can chose my dinner with a clear head.

After our dinner we were going to go see The Yes Man with Jim Carrey but our dinner ran too late. My hubby asked if I'd be up for some bowling. I love to bowl. We were actually on a league a few years in a row. We stopped after having Camden and sometimes I really miss it. It was a great indoor activity in the winter. Any-hoo...the first game we both did so-so. Mike got 103 which is quite low for him. He once bowled a 224 in league. My score was 116! I couldn't believe I beat him! My highest score was also during league and it was a 164. We played another game and I came out smoking! I was getting strike after strike and picking up my spares. The second game ended up with Mike getting a 103 again and I got a 171!! Can you believe that?!! I even beat my own best high score! I came home on a high!! It sure made up for the yucky start to the night.

Well, I am going to rap this post up so that I can get myself together. I'm about to head out with a friend for the afternoon. So until next time...TTFN.

I think I was 5 months old when my mom took me to get my ears pierced. If I ever have a girl I will be doing her ears early too!!Sounds like your night ended well! I love to bowl, but I'm not very good {I don't think I've ever bowled over 80 before!!}. I am SUPER impressed with your scores!!
Cute earrings...I almost always beat Agent in bowling. I used to bowl on a league too. I love to bowl. How fun!
I'm glad you got some enjoyment from the day!
I can't bowl. I suck at it.

I love the "Come on in for Good Food" sign. It makes me happy;-)
