We found out last night how quickly we can get to the hospital. :0)
We had our first false alarm last night, thinking that I could possibly be in labor. To make a long story short, I had been having "contractions" regularly for over an hour and they were coming every 5 minutes, on the dot. I called the hospital and spoke to a nurse who said it could be early labor and the only way to know was to come in. So 45 minutes later (after packing up bags just in case and dropping Camden off at Auntie's) we were at the hospital where I was hooked up to monitors and checked for dilation. No dilation what so ever, but the on call Dr. wanted to monitor me for 20 minutes. Well, more than 45 minutes later the nurse came back and said that I was going to be released to go home, but the Dr. had kept me on the monitor a little longer because I was having contractions every 2-4 minutes. Whoa!! I thought they were easing up since being a the hospital. I guess not. So why did they send me home? Well these lovely "contractions" are simply Braxton Hicks and nothing real. They released me saying that it could be, if they continue and get stronger, that we could have her soon. Or it could be that they will ease up and it could be a few weeks still. I hate not knowing!! I feel really good and slept well last night. I have only had a couple contractions, that I know of, this morning. I have a Dr.'s appointment already scheduled today at 2:30 so we will see what he has to say after all of this. This is all new to me because I was induced with Camden and experienced everything at the hospital. I never had contractions like this with him. Just another time to prove how every pregnancy really is different.
I guess I should get myself going here so I can get ready. I will be sure to post more after my Dr.'s appointment later today. You can check back here later for our updates. Have a lovely day all.

FYI: I had extremely regular contractions for six weeks before Tytus was born. I read that it is entirely normal and very common. I too was induced with Arielle and never felt a thing until it was time so I was concerned about "knowing" - Once it happens you know the difference though. I don't know what's different - but it is.
