This past weekend was quite full with family time. We fortunate enough to have been given tickets to the Canfield Fair. Now, some may know and some may not know that Mike and his aunt Teri (Auntie) use to sing out at the fair every year for several years in a row. We use to go simply because they got in to sing. It has been a good 4-5 years since we have last been out to the fair. The cost to just get in is $7.00 each. It simply got to the point that it was no longer worth going at that price. Well, since we were able to get in for the youth service in which I had been helping the praise team prepare for, we headed out first thing Sunday morning. The down fall was that when the time came to leave it was pouring down rain. The first half of the morning had been quiet but of course when we decided to leave it just came down, nice and steady. So hoping that it would let up we went to have breakfast at Charley's. We had about an hour before he service was to start so it worked out perfect. I took this picture of Mike and Camden just before our breakfast came. Camden was so excited and all through breakfast kept talking about going to the fair and seeing the animals. He was truly excited, even though he'd never been there before. I think just the thought of going somewhere new was exciting.
Here are just a few pictures I took at the fair. We went through as many barns as I could handle. Daddy actually took him through a few while I sat to rest my feet and back. I think his favorite by far w
as the horse barn.
He kept calling the barns stores by the way. So, the horse "store" was his favorite. He actually loved the miniature ponies. He was not afraid at all to reach out and pet them. He also saw chickens, rabbits, ducks, cows, goats, and sheep. We didn't make it through all the barns, but a good portion of them. One of my favorites was the sheep because of these two sheep in particular. It was such a sweet sight to watch these two interact with one another. They were actually in separate stalls and the one would get up on it's hind legs and place it's head over to the other side. The other sheep would then put it's head up and nuzzle it's self into the nose of the other. This picture gives an idea, but it was nothing like watching them in person. It was so sweet. I just could not get over how loving their interaction was with one another. It's amazing to me to see such interaction among animals when it's something I use to seeing between humans. It was pretty cool, at least I thought so. :0)
Monday we had a leisurely morning just sipping on hot tea and taking our time getting out. We then headed over to Auntie and Uncle Frank's for a Labor Day picnic with them and Uncle Frank's daughter Rebecca, son Luke and grandson (Rebecca's little boy) Gabriel.

It was such a great day of relaxation. No pressure to do anything, just have fun and chill. We were there most of the day and we had fun playing a game called Cornhole. I know some know cornhole as something much, much different, But this is a game with two boards with a hole towards the top of the board and bean bags filled with corn that you toss trying to get point by getting your bag into the hole. It's basically a bean bag toss. It's very addicting and even being as pregnant as I am I had to get in on the fun. We played this most of the day as well as just enjoying each other's company. Mike of course entertained us all with his goofy ways. Although, I must say, he makes me sick, because he was getting way to good at getting his 3 point "ringers". I shouldn't be surprised, but he and Pal both were way too good to be playing against. I was lucky enough to win two games, one with Mike as a partner and the other with Pal. Good fun.

Camden and Uncle Pal sat on the tractor watching most of the one game it was too cute. Then Rebecca gave Gabriel to Uncle Frank who sat on the other tractor. Both boys got to have fun "driving" the tractors. I must say, it's hard for me to believe Uncle Frank is a grandpa. It's sweet to watch him. He is great as a father and grandpa.
So that is our recap of the holiday weekend. There was other odds and ends that we did, but I will not bore you any more. I have rambled on long enough. I am going to go get myself another no-bake cookie (like I need another, but they are too darn addicting). So long for now dear friends.
