Lovely Fall Evening

Though today was much warmer than usual, this evening turned cool and was made just perfect with a warm bowl of the famous Auntie Stew!! Yes, we finally got to enjoy that stew that Auntie makes so wonderfully!! We had a enjoyable get together for Uncle Frank's birthday. We thought we were suprising him, but I don't think much gets past him. He seems to know everything or at the least thinks he does (I love ya Uncle Frank!!). Needless to say he knew we were all there and wasn't all that suprised. We got to dine together as a real family enjoying good food and conversation. We then ended the evening with cake and gifts and "A Happy Birthday to You, A Happy Birthday to You. . ." and some more conversation. I firmly belive that we do not do it often enough. Getting together and enjoying each other's company, that is. I am so very greatful for my family. In laws, out laws, blood...it doesn't matter to me. Family to me is what you make it!! I am very greatful to have my "blood" family, but those who are not, yet are just as close or even closer, are just as wonderful!! So to my extended family, let it be said that I am greatful more and more that I have you. I am greatful that we are not only family but that we are great friends as well. May we continue to grow closer and continue to build bonds that only get stronger. Thank you for loving me and excepting me and seeing past all of my imperfections. I love you all very, very much. Thank you Auntie for the wonderful stew and rolls and birthday cake. It was all so very yummy!! I will be thinking about it all week!! Goodnight for today and until tomorrow. . . .
