Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Day's of. . . Autumn?

Oh how I love the fall!!! These last couple of days I have just been hangin' out at home and it has been kinda nice just being home and actually having nothing to do. We had our place all cleaned this weekend and it paid off. I have found that when I am home and there are things that need done, I can't sit still. Even if the projects are not something mundane, like dishes or vacuuming. So, having all of the mundane as well as the other bigger things caught up, it was nice to just lounge. Today was just the perfect day for that. I woke up to the lovely rain that was falling ever so gently. Call me crazy, but I just love these kind of days. Now that I have a child, I don't so much like being out in it, but I love it when it's cool and rainy (not that today was that cool). I love to bake on days like today. I would have done so if I had something in my pantry worth baking. I'm low on just about everything so there wasn't much available for the baking department. I have been longing to make homemade chocolate chip cookies. I haven't made them since Camden was born. That is a long time with out making chocolate chip cookies!! I'm gonna have to bake some cookies. I can smell the their warm gooiness already. I really want those yummy cookies.
There hasn't been anything else worthwhile, at least not blog worthy. I have this cute picture of Camden and I from yesterday. I love photographing him. He has the greatest eyes for black and whites. If I was able to do photography as a living, which I am hoping I can do some day, I
believe I will specialize in black and whites. There is something so timeless and classic about it. Color photos are great, but I just love black and white. Most of my favorite pictures I've ever taken have been in black in white. I have taken these few pictures at Mill
Creek Park in the last few months. I have been wanting to go back and find the old iron bridge. It has been used in many wedding photos that I have seen taken, but it's beauty isn't just for weddings. I would love to capture the bridge the autumn foliage in color and then some in black and white such as this of the bridge located by Lanterman's Mill. I took this one about mid-summer. I'm gonna have to find directions from someone to get to the iron bridge. The color photo is of the actual mill alongside the falls. I would like to also capture these same photos this fall. The colors are going to be so
beautiful in the park. Back to my whole point...I just love autumn. I didn't mean for this to become about my photography. Sorry 'bout that. I'll post more photos and more on that subject at a later time. Well, that'll be all for tonight.

I love Autumn & rainy days, as you well know. I need to make some cookies now too, well not now-it's nearly 1:00AM, but perhaps tomorrow if I'm feeling much better.

Good pics, by the way.

Hi Beth! This is my first time commenting, but I read often. Great photos!

I know exactly where the iron bridge is. If you know how to get to the mill, just continue on down into the park and that road that you're on will eventually wind around until you get to the bridge. You can't miss it!

If you dont know how to get to the mill (which I'm assuming you do since you took those lovely photos there), I'll give you directions if you need them.

I love autumn as well. My two favorite seasons are autumn and winter with summer being my least favorite. I was born a Southern girl, but 15 years in the north has made me realize how much I despise the heat :)
